It truly begins… Musicians Wanted

4 Mar

So, it has been a truly mind blowing year. To say that this time last year I was a different person is the biggest understatement I could ever make. To quote Yeats, “All changed, changed utterly. A terrible beauty is born.” So I gigged my tits off, played in the streets of Berlin sometimes to no-one sometimes to many, found and lost love, found lots more in a million different ways, changed myself, changed others, changed what I believe and changed where I live, both geographically and in terms of time – I am settling into the present moment nicely. I have learned about myself, about others, about the world. I have learned about the industry, what I want from my sound, how I love to perform, to record, about the mind, the emotions, the soul. I have learned about a lot, and learned that in reality I know little and there is so much left to learn.

As I haven’t posted on this as I have been in India, I have a couple of videos to post.

This is our war

Ra Ra Ra

Most importantly – I am setting up a new band, based in Dublin City, or at least Ireland, and I am now looking for musicians with a view to releasing  a full EP and then album in the next year or so. As all of you have become very dear to me, and close to me, perhaps you would like to take part in this process. The initial idea for band members that I am putting out into the world is as follows. We will see what comes back. Whatever happens will be exactly what needs to happen, I have no doubt.

Back, forth and upwards

So I just got back last week after some time in Ireland, and time on Alan Jacques Green and Live on Limericks Live 95fm. It was straight back into things, playing 5 times in four days, Malzfabrik was beautiful, Mastul was packed and really great, and the folks at Cafe Blume were amazing, Mauerpark was up to its best again – the best run of gigs I’ve ever done. Class. On Thursday I was playing guitar with two friends Chloe and Elliot also at a gig in the Tiergarten, at this we shared the line up with the lead singer of Spandau Ballet, who played Live Aid and shared a stage with Queen there – iiiinteresting.

Playing tomorrow at Zatopek, I’m gonna play fewer gigs for the next month in favour of playing more on the street while the weather still allows, and it looks like I’ll be heading back to Ireland in mid October to perform with the Dublin Laptop Orchestra in a  gig with the National Symphony Orchestra which should be pretty amazing.

Also, http://soundcloud.com/greentea-radio/enda-gallery This little interview with Green Tea Berlin will be on Alex Radio and 88vier 88.4 FM on Wed the 26th Sept at 1pm.

That’s all for now, hopefully in the coming months will be the official release of my album to radio and i tunes etc as will my come back to Ireland for the winter.

Talk soon,

Enda

1 week until my first gig on home soil, 3 weeks til moving to Berlin – exciting times

19 May

Happy Saturday,

I’ve been dying sick of a cough this past week or so, but still we managed to have a cool little charity gig at my house, and get some serious prep done for this upcoming gig in Dublin citaaay. It will be the first gig where we start incorporating a taste of electronics and som of the things I’ve been pondering in my sleep will become reality – good or bad we’ll have to wait and see. Either way the countdown has begun.

So the gig in OT Projektraum, Berlin was a great night, brilliant gig, brilliant audience and lovely staff. Thanks to all involved once again.

Thanks then to Lynne for hosting me in Edinburgh it was a sweet little trip.

So Dublin comes, next Friday, 25th of May – doors 8.30pm, show 9pm at the Twisted Pepper, 54 Middle Abbey St, Dublin 1 – it’s upstairs in the Loft Venue… here is the facebook event – sharing this, or my music facebook page, will get you a little discount:

http://www.facebook.com/events/390878760953499/

Hotpress.com gave us some nice coverage:

http://hotpress.com/Enda-Gallery/news/Enda-Gallery-comes-to-The-Twisted-Pepper/8906362.html?new_layout=1

Thanks to Eric Somers and Dave Mooney who will be involved in the show and are class musicians.

And to Matthew Lennon who will support.

The gig next week will hopefully premiere a piece I’ve made with visuals from John Conway that has been about 5 months in the making.

My good friend from Berlin Fabian Saul has just released the first of his 3 EP’s and you should check him out. His music is available here: http://sohobedroom1938.com/music/

If you’re planning on seeing me soon – here’s some tracks for now – recorded live and acoustic.

Go forth and share.

Most importantly add me facebook/twitter/rss whichever you use.

See you soon,
